VJAM is a social platform and real-time jam session application for musicians, developed by VMusicTech. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use the VJAM mobile application ("App").
By using the App, you agree to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Username
- Password (stored using a one-way hash algorithm; never stored in plain text)
2.2 Profile Information
Information you optionally provide:
- Profile photo
- Biography
- Status message
2.3 Content Data
Content you create or share through the App:
- Messages (individual and group chats)
- Shared files (audio recordings, images)
2.4 Usage Data
Data automatically collected to improve service quality:
- Session durations and usage frequency
- App crash reports
- Feature usage statistics

Connection and device information:

We implement the following security measures to protect your data:

- Passwords are stored using one-way hash algorithms (bcrypt)
- Server access is restricted through role-based access control

- File storage (AWS S3) is protected with server-side encryption
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your account remains active
- After account deletion: Personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the deletion request
- Backup data: Automatically removed from backup systems within 90 days
- Anonymous analytics data: May be retained in anonymized form for statistical purposes
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights:
- Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account through the App settings or by emailing support@vmusictech.com
- Data portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object: You can object to the processing of your data under certain circumstances

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
VJAM is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 years of age. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfer
Your data may be processed and stored in countries where our servers are located (in EU and/or US regions via Amazon Web Services infrastructure). When transferring your data outside of Turkey, we ensure that appropriate security measures are in place and that applicable data protection laws are complied with.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made:

- The "Last updated" date will be revised
- For significant changes, you will be notified via in-app notification and/or email
